Little Qualicum Cheeseworks is your opportunity to shop right from the farm. Established in 2001, LQC has long been a fixture in the local community and welcomes you to visit the farm, fill up on fresh milk, and explore a wide range of farmstead artisan cheeses.

You can take a self-guided tour of the working dairy farm AND you can visit the Farmgate Store to buy your favourite made on the farm milks and cheeses. Looking for something local and unique? Browse the wide variety of local foods, farm toys and gifts. The full line of cheeses plus seasonal favourites are all available for purchase.

What can you expect on a tour of Little Qualicum Cheeseworks?

Farm fresh milk, on tap. Bring a clean container or purchase one from us. Pasteurized, unhomogenized, whole milk goodness.
The freshest latte and espresso bar on the Island. Experience the freshest latte you ever tasted, featuring locally roasted Creekmore Coffee and their own fresh milk. A match made in coffee heaven.
A wide array of local artisan foods. You’ll find local meats, eggs and grass-fed beef to crackers and jellies, pickles and chocolates.

Little Qualicum Cheeseworks are a staple on local restaurant cheeseboards and cheeseburgers. Don’t miss stopping in to see where they are made.

LQC Cheese Sampler

Their cheese samplers come in two sizes each with a different selection of their made-onsite cheeses. The cheese is precut for easy snacking which makes them a great way to find your favourite!

Pair your cheese sampler with a fresh latte made with Creekmore Coffee, roasted in Qualicum Beach, and topped up with delicious LQC fresh milk.

Self-Guided Farm Tours

Come by any time during open hours to enjoy a fun and educational experience. Visit the gals in the dairy barn, learn about the milking robot, and say hello to calves, sheep, goats, and a variety of other friendly animals.

And don’t forget to take a peek into the cheese plant, where the magic happens – if you’re lucky enough you might catch some action! Suitable for families, children, teens, adults – there’s something here for everyone.

Guided Farm Tours

Have a group of 10 or more? Take your experience to the next level by booking a guided tour. Albert will walk you through the intricacies of a working farm; you’ll tour the premises, learn about farmstead dairy production, and try their fresh milk. Cheese samplers may be ordered in advance for an additional $5/ea (each sampler serves four and contains Monterey Jill, Hot Jill, Tipsy Jill, Caraway Jill, Qualicum Spice, and Feta).
